So I'm doing a project on the history of wakeskating. I went to the link on this site for the history, but can't find a picture of the first wakeskate. I can find pictures of people riding it, but not just the board.
I know there was a thread with a picture of it at some point, but I don't remember what it was, or when it was.
Can anybody help me out? _________________ Only the evil live to see their own likeness in stone. |

Here's a link to the museum on the site, which has some early FWT stuff. The blue board is the first real wakeskate produced with the intent to sell, or at least, that was kind of the idea behind it. Only one shop actually wanted to order one...it was too expensive for its time. http://www.wakeskating.com/media/showgallery.php?cat=576
but before that, don't forget that people were riding chopped wakeboards, and there were some custom boards made, like the one schmaltz had on here that was made by stan pleskunas, and josh smith had a custom board made by 'stretch.' Jason messer was also hand shaping his own boards out of surf blanks.
There's more stuff in the museum as well, like images of the old traction pads by FWT and bad ass. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com*
