I did in the primaries! By the time yesterday's election rolled around, I was so beyond voting for Ron Paul. I voted Independent the past two times that I could vote in the elections, because they were the best candidates IMO. But each time a retard was elected (Bush) So this time I voted Dem in the actual election. Sorry Ron Paul, I still heart your ideas!

taku, I don't understand how you could be all about Ron Paul's ideas and vote for Obama there ideas are polar opposites. I really liked Ron Paul also and I really wish that he did not come off as being crazy or I think he might of had a chance. That turned alot of people off.

The previous 2 elections (2000 and 2004), I voted Independent because I liked what both candidates were offering more than the D's or R's. Both times the worst possible choice (Bush) was elected, the one I despised. How could the American public be so stupid to elect someone like that? This time I decided since my vote counts, I need it to count for the person who I believe, has the best chance of getting us back on track (in alignment with the population) with forward thinking and the ability to cross lines to make sure the job is done to the best of his/our ability. Hence, part of why my vote went to the D's this year.

Who did you vote for and why?

I voted for John McCain, although he is not at all as conservative as I would have liked. I believe in a small government, less social spending and programs, less government in our daily lives, less taxes, a strong military, and most of all someone who is not wanting to re-defined our Constitution. And I believe he is the one of the two that fit that description the best. And with that being said I would have voted for Bob Barr if I thought he had a chance.
