110cc dirt bike winch?????????

hey Found a 110cc dirt bike 4 stroke all it seems i need to do is get a rope on the rear rim and trial and error to get the speed down does this sound like a good idea,, ghetto but later maybe make a frame for it ps i weigh 250 and i am 6' 4"

well if i get this i figured i could use it a couple times and then use the motor maybe the gears to build a real winch

DeuceTwinkies, if the best way to make a winch was to use a dirt bike motor, everyone would be using them. Sine no one is using dirt bikes, that should tell you all you need to know.

How bout this what is the cheapest winch i could make could someone list the parts with a price

when using a dirt bike engine you need to worry about over heating more than gearing problems....

you will definitely need a fan or other method of cooling
