Drill a whole in a 2x4 that the coated rope will fit through. Then stick a razor blade in the 2x4 where just a little of it sticks down over the hole (the thickness of the coating) Then just pull the rope through the whole and it will cut through the entire length of the coating and you can just peel it off.

cuz my fairlead got bent down so now when i let rope out or when im pulling it in the rope scrapes along it and slices it anyway so like half of it is either gone or hanging off

thats my winter job this year, soon as you get some snags in that line it just bunches up and tear's no matter how good your fairlead is. glad i didn't pay for my line

i recommend losing the coating anyway.... with the coating on you get a much sketchier pull... whenever i get bullet line the first thing i do is strip the coating off...

donk i use a very similar method...

Cyclone268, yes you can buy rope elsewhere without the coating... and it would be cheaper... the reason i got bullet line was cause he gave it to me for free for moderating his forum
