It's just as it sounds... about six months ago my father and I were hanging out in the shop chit chatting when he said "have you ever thought about using recycled card board for your cores instead of wood" I looked at him and thought the idea was silly, but I kept wondering what it would be like? Would it work? How would it ride? It's a truly "green" idea and it would lessen the impact we have on trees and our environment...

So I figured hell let's give it a try. It works, AND it works REALLY well!

Get ready boys and girls the 2009 Arson "Card Boards" are coming!

With an 85% recycled cardboard core, it doesn't get much greener!

SleuCrew, how's that work? you just compress the cardboard and use that as a core?

Pictures will be released of all the final product come Surf Expo time, boards will be ready to ship then as well... I still have a few different ways I want to try the layup on the card boards. Everything with the wood core boards are pretty much finished and ready for production.

One of the biggest issues I have is the waste of materials building boards the way we do now, wether were using wood, foam or any other type of material to build the three dimensional parts of the board we waste a lot of materials machining our cores.

That is unless you blow garbage foam cores like some companies.

If these boards are made from re-cycled materials, does this mean you get performance on a budget price??
