Just Wondering, I know tower speakers are pretty expensive so do many of you guys have them. And i could be looking to install some in my boat shortly so if any of you guys can answer these questions would be muchly appreciated.
1. Do you need and amplifier to run them through
2. Has any one tryed to make there own
Like i said any help would be muchly appreciated |

You're going to need an amp...generally, the head unit doesn't have enough output to power the tower speakers by itself. Also, it isn't that hard to make your own speakers and it can save you alot if you know what you doing.

If you have a $50,000 boat, I dont think it would be too big of a deal to throw one or two more G's down.
