i just wanted to know what the 4 trac rode like. i have a byerly 04 and i like it but i'm looking at and trying to ride some other boards. today i rode a 41" 484 and it was pretty tight. i was wondering if the 4 track rode like that does. i'm kinda afraid that the wood skate won't last long. would i need to take it inside everyday so it doesn't warp or anything? _________________

NaRC-P rider, the 4-trac/tech 42 is something different.... I really like it compared to a regular concave... i like it becuase there is more room from your feet on your board and it just seems like there is more board for your feet which I like.... wood and water dont mix thats a fact but wood skates are better than most compisite (sp?) material board (hyperlite) |

woods arent better than composites they are way more durable and and are easier to make advances to. Hyperlite skates are awesome in my oppinon even if u do think there cut down wakeboards. _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

I like the feeling of wood. Composites are going to last longer, but I don't like compression molded at all.
Integrity's boards are composite, not compression molded and feel great under your feet
didn't 484 make a 4-track lookalike?
Wood can last if sealed properly. My 41 flat is still going strong after 3 years. I think that any company that is going to continue to produce wood skates should spend some of their r/d time on qaulity sealents
Catalyst, we've been through this before but I still don't think hype has made any advances at all. The only thing the gate has produced is so-called water manuals |

No way! They're "tail presses"!
Ha, just kidding. Parky, russian said they're "so-called manuals," so...yeah, I get the feeling that he doesn't think they're a real manual either. I think the important thing is that most of us realize that a gate wheelie (or whatever...you could call it "tippie toes" for all I care) isn't the same as a true manual. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

For the record, you can do tail presses and tweak them over to the side on the Kampus Swing with its rounded ends. So the Gate doesn't have an exclusive monopoly on water presses.. _________________
