hey fellas!
i am new to wakeskating...i got my first wakeskate for christmas and have been gradually gettin better ever since. last time out i almost made it w2w...my board is a hyperlite phriction 108....after only 4 or 5 times to the lake tho the foam padding is already more than halfway off....any suggestions for a decently inexpensive but durable board that would fit my skill level? |

| $10 a sheet at your local skate shop...and you'll probably need 2 sheets. |

I think it would be really tricky to grip it with grip tape, unless you take off the foam concave part of the board. And that's kind of what makes a phriction a phriction...(ahem) "a concave wakeskate at an affordable price."
As long as the wood isn't delaming, I would just try to re-attach that foam...but I'm not even sure what kind of adhesive you could use. Otherwise, you're going to be paying right around 200.00, if not more, for a decent wakeskate that would last you (which could be anything from an oak, sattelyte or a LF impulse, or the more affordable designs would be a compression molded wakeskate from hyperlite). _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

| today the foam fell all the way off.....so i just laid it out and am letting it dry right now....i found some waterproof cement glue in the garage and if that doesnt work i have also heard of a gorilla glue that is supposed to be amazing...im just going to try some trail and error and if the adhesive fails ill end up gripping it i guess |

rhskates27, gorrilla glue works, or you can try this 3M spray adhesive that they sell at home depot. it's kind of expensive (~$8/can i believe), but it gets the job done as long as you put enough on. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

| i was thinkin of doin that anyways but grip is only gunna be $10 a sheet or adhesive will be cheaper than that even...so why not finish the season with this and enter next year with a new 08 model or something? |

| Yeah, just glue your board for the rest of the season and just get a new one in 08. |

rhskates27, dude definitely stick with your phriction! get some 2-side contact glue from home depot and you'll be just fine. this way i fixed my anthem and no complaints thus far and it's the second season i'm riding it.
you don't neccessarily need a better board to become better! just shred the heck out off your hype... |
