Yeah, sluggo did the first backflip on a skateboard and it made the cover of transworld in like 98. It's actually a sick looking cover because it's at a concrete park, so it's...less artificial feeling, if that makes sense. But he's also done one on vert, and I want to say that bob burnquist had one too, but that was awhile ago.
There are also inverted spins in skating where the board doesn't necessarily have to leave your feet, namely mc twists and frontside 5s. So whatever.
and that BT thing isn't a rumor, it's true. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

So who doesn't think a backflip is skateboard style? Cause I've seen it done in person, and you couldn't get more "skateboard style" than ripping a backflip. Oh yeah, IMO a wake is comparable to a transition (ramp). _________________ forever shreddin' |

Snowboarding, Wakeboarding, Wakeskating, Kite Boarding, Hell - Rollerblading were all birthed after the invention of the skateboard (long after) and if it weren't for progressive thinking such as "Do you think I could pull a rodeo?" or something of the like ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED SPORTS WOULD BE NOWHERE. Plain, boring to watch. Those who shun progression simply are afraid of it. Moreover, they most likely aren't capable of doing the job themselves.
That being said, I'll paypal the first person to post a video of their self throwing a w2w Inverted 3 or more on a wakeskate and sticking it. 50 bucks. Game on. _________________ -Jim |

Adam Mcnatt frontflips a funbox in some video.. maybe a 411 issue. and burnquist frontflips the mega ramp, and danny way backflips it.. it looks like he's hitting a big kicker on a snowboard, he kinda tweaks it out the same way
well if it's true that BT threw tantrums, then inverts has been done.. yes i know.. not w2w you dont have to tell me that. _________________ Jag heter Fredrik |

I know it's something different and why limit yourself and all of that.
I personally just don't think they are as cool. I like to watch someone pop and suck the board up to them and bring the grab to them, instead of using the grab to pop. _________________ √ |

gay is drilling a handle to your deck, filming a back roll and CLAIMING it on two websites
But its also gay for beginners/wakeboarders hopping on a wakeksate and think the coolest thing you could do are wakeboard tricks. just f'ng wakeboard if all you want to do are wakeboard tricks.
I personally have no problem with wakeskaters adding legitimate rolls/flips to their bag of tricks
Oh and I think a tantrum would be near impossible on a wakeskate |

i dont think its that ghey if someone landed a legit invert on a skate. personally, id be impressed because i know how hard they are on a board. and its like wakeskating is not that much different from wakeboarding, why not show up dem strappers and beat em at their own game, and without bindings?
i tried a christ air last weekend, and im aiming high to be the first to land a legit one |

seeing as our sport is coming from both skateboarding and wakeboarding, it would be really cool to see an invert happen on a wakeskate. it happens in skateboarding so you can't call it gay.
and im with Nick, early grabs look gay, and are gay. |
