-=AlexXx=-, he may have more songs if he has a lower bitrate per MP3.
The average is 128, but if you drop your bitrate down to 64 then the file size is smaller, but you lose a litte quality as well.

senorbueno, Wink . I personally don't have yahoo music, my sister does. I have the NW-HD5, it's not the best but the battery is awesome and the music storage is great. -=AlexXx=-, yes, my Mp3 player is a 20GB and holds 13,000 songs.

Here it is, I have it in RED.

Yes. Exactly. I find the quality better than that of my video Ipod.

Just to set things strait, itunes has over 3 million songs. So anyone who says other wise is talking out of their ass. Personally, I have never purchased a song on itunes but I do know that their songs do have a 128 bit rate. This isn't exactly bad quality, but unless you're ripping cds with an exact audio copying program and a LAME encoder, you're not going to get the bitrate any higher. Itunes, the program, rips at 128 or less as do other standard cd copying software. The reason why delta rider says he can get so many songs on his mp3 player is because that's what the box told him. In reality, that 13,000 song capacity can only be acomplished if the songs were around 64 kbps, which is pretty much the flattest sounding shizzle you could listen to. Like SamHill said, the lower the bitrate, the smaller the file size.
Back to the ipod versus the goon. Apple has the best costomer service you could ask for. My first ipod, 2nd gen i think, stoped working because I droped it. I sent it to apple and they sent me a brand new one. No warrenty, no questions asked. I guess it's really prefrence when deciding which one to get. Take into consideration that apple is light years ahead of microsoft. not only in mp3 players, but technology in general.

hammer49, yeah okay Rolling Eyes . I'm done. It's all preference, and I prefer NOT to use most products from apple. I think they suck. Laughing

Yea i know the ipod has had videos on it, but the screen is nothing compared to on the zune Crazy Eyes .

The screens have the same resolution, and the Zune's is only just slightly larger.. But nice try.

Yeah actually, the Zune is 3" on the diagonal, and the iPod is 2.5"... Same apect ratio and everything. I think the lack in other features far out-weigh the minimal difference when you're holding an iPod in your hand in your lap versus a Zune... Think real life buddy.

Im not sure what ur tryin to say here, if your sayin the zunes lacks features that are on the ipod I want to know what they are. The difference between holding the zune and holding the ipod is non-existant.

real life? the screen on the zune is real life, the ipod wishes it had a real screen.

XdrummerX, real life examples, the .5" isn't going to make a whole lot of difference with the same resolution, infact it could make things look worse.

http://innerdaemon.wordpress.com/2006/11/15/zune-vs-ipod-the-real-comparison/ - Read. And also look at reviews by money.cnn.com, they rate the iPod higher as well.

I know the Zune has a lot of potential, but the V.1 just isn't up to scratch yet, I mean seriously, why have WiFi but not allow for wireless connectivity to your computer? It's just stupid.

xXxcaliwakeskaterxXx, Wow thanks, so insightful, if you had read what I said, that was my point.

littleblightie, actually .5" makes more of a difference than you think since it is measured on the diagonal, look at that pick i posted. It is easy to see the screen is much larger. and I have also seen video on both the ipod and zune in real life, and the zune screen is definitely better. The quality doesnt change because the eye doesnt see any diffence in the resolution even though the pixles are jst farther apart on the zune.

You prolly havent seen a zune in real life so I can see where you are coming from.

That can be upgraded with a simple download from the internet, no new device needed.

I know how much difference the .5" makes, I know on the diagonal it actually measures more total surface area because the longer diagonal equals longer side lengths. But that is the only advantage of the Zune over the iPod that I can see. If the Zune had a screen like the mock-up of the touch screen iPod, then the larger screen size would be a major factor, and probably lead me to get a Zune.

I didn't know the WiFi could be used with a computer, is it with third party software? If it is, I stand by my comment that the V.1 still has too many faults, fixing things with third party doesn't make the initial product any better.
