Hey guys, I'm not going to be at wakestock. I was supposed to leave monday and Midnight and i didn't get on the plane.

All week my chick and my mom said that had a bad feeling about me going, and they never say that. I meen i'm pretty lucky and have got to travel around to skate alot and they never say anything. Anyway i ignored it and just laughed at them. When i got to the Airport i suddenly had like this Gut feeling that I didn't need to go, I was just like ..... "whatever your going knock it off" and then my phone rang. My chick called to tell me that my son had a fever and that he might have to go to the hospital.... When i heard that I was like...............FVCK IT. I gota take care of my family. I caught a cab back to my buddies hotel who was seeing AFI that night, crashed with him and drove home the next day..... Shocked

Anyway Just thought I'de tellyou guys my story, Some people think that i'm a Idiot but you know what ??: My chick and my Kid dont, and thats all that matters.....

I think sooner or later we all realize that life is purely guided by the decisions we make everyday. wether you make the right ones is your own choice.

My wife and I had a son a couple of years ago around the time that we were starting Devotid and getting ready to launch our first model. We found out that our son had a 50% chance of living when he was born. We pretty much shut our lifes off and focused on this. He lived for eleven days in the ICU then passed away due to his illness. They were the greatest 11 days of our lives and would do it again in a heartbeat. It changes your life when your a parent and i can see that this Pirates got the daddy bug.

In the end it only made us stronger as a couple and as a company. I would have like to be around last year but I just stayed by her side and studied the industry and board developement at nights and now we are way stronger for it. Look out '07!

didnt mean to poach your thread i just thought this was a great thing for you to share. This site needs more of this real stuff.

devotid, Dude, awsome post. I'm glad that out of a unfortunate incident, you can see the light. Just think that your baby is chilling in heaven, Knowing that his Life strenghthened the Bond Between his mommy and daddy. Your in my prayers and i wish you the Best in life as well as your wakeskating indevors........

Man something REAL on here for once. This is what this board is supposed to be about. UNITING people around the world under the Flag of Friendship and Wakeskating.....

mario and pirate.. yeah those ear infections suuuuuuuuuuuck our lil girl had'em over and over until they put tubes in her ears... then they just stopped.. nothing like the ER at 3a.m. Shocked
