I came from a surfing background, with little skateboard or wakeboard experience. I'm amped about wakeskating because it has so many of the challenges and freedom that surfing has, without the lineup's, and paddling. I've gotton to the point where I can do all the lip slides and seem to be pretty consistant with my FS shuvs in the flats and 180's and most things of this nature. I've seemed to hit a plateau because I'm not learning any new tricks or combination of lip tricks ect. Any suggestions of where I might move from here. I ride behind a seadoo, if that makes any difference. Thanks for the time.

archcityblues, look at some of the videos on this site or wherever you can find wakeskating videos on the internet, you can get some ideas about tricks you want to try.

also remember dude its not always about progressing in the sport, its about having loads of fun out on the lake with your family ir friends, who cares about learning new tricks, just go out there and have some fun.

ps. have you tried wakesurfing? I did that once, I loved it, but since that one time i did it a year ago I havent been able to get the chance.

here's an idea for everyone.....lets take this shizzle as far from surfing and wakeboarding as possible and move it toward skateboarding.....more flip tricks.... more tech....more gaps....more "street skate" style.....
just a thought...

wakeskatexas1, how about we give it its own style that isnt about the same shlt skateboarders can do, lets make it our own fvcking sport, doing things they can't do in any other sport.
