new. i got a question

Hey. im new to wakeskating just started because i got bored with wakeboarding. so ive searched the forums for stuff about fins and no fins. ive decided to go with no fins. so my question is. i have a wood board with holes drilled for the fins. will being in the water with those holes exposed do anything to my board?

NaRC-P rider, would u like it if some kid who doesnt wakeskate was proclaimed some kind of hero in ur town because he rode strait across the lake and back? haha i dont know why i care.
i would rather watch little walton get worked on the LC bus again haha good times
