Ok. Imagine a canal that has trees down the sides. What if you were to pull the rope out manually, have the rider go to the far end of the canal. Now take the handle and place it on the crossbow and fire. It would take some craftsmenship to fine tune to make it work; but I could see it.
And if you guys don't like this idea stay tuned for summer 06' when I take the winch deep sea fishing.
Sorry, I'm really bored.

Anything is aerodynamic with enough force.

Well alot of times there are obstacles on the banks making it impossible to walk the rope around to the starting point.freerider4, are you talking about one of those bottom fishing electric reels, those things are tight. They are slow though, I'm gonna get a new world record.
With enough force and balance I bet you could launch that handle a few hundred feet. Any hunters on here that use crossbows?

Raven, I was thinking of the same thing before. It's a beach to have to swim out the winch rope 600 feet for each pull, trust me, ive done it. I was thinking of making some sort of catapult to launch the rope out, it would be really hard to make something that was poweful enough to throw that much weight though. I think it is a feasable idea, it would take some time to figure out though.

I got an idea, what if you had a length of super skinny and light rope attached to you somehow. That way when you get bnack to the winch yopu untie the rope from you tie it onto the handle.the person who needs the handle just had to pull the handle back. You could even get a surf fishing rod with spiderwire(braided fishing line) and use that. Thatd be real sweet.

what if you just bought two BLACKBOX's. placed one at each end. tied a rope to your leg, get pulled. then have the other one drag you back. Now you dont even have to swim. LAZY is spelt with a z right?

HYPOXIC FILMS, what if bought two blackbox's, tied a rope to both your legs, then tied the other rope to your hands, and got torn apart at the lower torso. that would be so utterly sweet.

Brett Leadley, did you go to art school? No arrows, just shoot the handle. jerk the hamer it's time for action, and build it up a little so that it will hold something bigger than an arrow like......a handle. Pull out the rope, balance the handle. aim ...pow! Of course you may need to extend the stock a bit. Can somebody put up some crossbowpics please?
941wake, sorry about the hunting insult.Chris Barcellos, you knowimean.Bad Luck,
Ben, what if you had one of those carpenters things with the retractable string I hear ya!

WOOT WOOT!!!!! I got it!!!!!!
JP, Go and buy a remote control boat for around 100(one thats decent) and make a custom thing to attach the handle to. Then all youd have to do is program put the handle on the boat and take it way down yonder. I read that in a fishin magazine once for super duper long casts Seriously thatd work soooo good
Brett Leadley I hear hes deadly with an arrow too

integrity640, you're ready for college, get out of that place you call hi-school. You just graduated. That is the best idea When I was a kid I worked a lot to park cars, I said follow the valet.........my remote comtrolled car...The Hornet
You'd need a pretty nice one....big and bouyant, and with some range. Those cheap ass wake editions probably would go more than 100 yards I don't know, somebody has one...what's up?

Get a good one with a 500 ft range for undera 100, it goes 15 mph
I seriously think thatd work really well though, just attach the handle to it and steer her back to the starting point. Thatd be hella sweet, you could even attach a camera to one and have it go in front of the rider, thats if you got one that was fast enough
