im going to PA this christmas and there's gonna be ice/snow on the ground and whatnot.

i was wandering if taking and old skateboarding deck and sliding on the ice or snow will work. im not trying to do any major tricks.

just want to have some fun goofing off on the snow.

liquid, I don't think it would work very well... When I was a bit younger, we would take the sandals off my neighbors old wakeboard (yeah, it had sandal bindings) and we would ride down the side of overpasses on it into a big field. I would say bring your wakeskate, that would work better if you can't get a snowskate.

my friends and i did that a year ago and it worked, although you can't carve or anything is was fun to mess around on..but you have to make sure you are going down a hill or something

I've done it, it's ok...it's obviously better with a snowskate...but a skate deck works fine. Works best on relatively hard packed snow.

liquid, Didn't you get snow last Christmas? If so you coulda done it then. I have a little drainage ditch incline thing. I used a (polished or waxed) skate deck. It should work fine.

haha i did it a week or 2 ago when there was snow on my walkway. i fell on my ass so many times. you have no grip or edge or anything but i did it on fresh powder i havent tried it on the harder stuff

go to walmart and get one for real cheap. I got towed 35 mph on a walmart snowboard behind an atv...........scary Crazy Eyes

liquid, wel the snowboards are mega crappy, but the snowskates, are well snowskates so its better than a skateboard or w/e. But id just go to walmart and buy a snowskate, Its worth it. Should you have any interest in seriously injuring yourself easily id suggest a walmart snowboard Laughing

I wiped out goin 35 mph on one and did a flip Smash

liquid, grab one while ur up in pensylvania. Any of those walmarts will carry them.

we built this cool half pipe right when i got here and my cousin has a snowskate so its all good. its so fun to do it man. ahhhhh

i dont even have a house and now i have a half pipe. good times good times
