i got 2 of the 5 decks in yesterday and i think the rest are to arrive today. i'm very pleased w/ the condition... they're in real good shape, not mint but... well worth the price. the orange one has cassette guardian on the big radio. the other one i got in was the blue micro cassette. i'll try to post some good pics of them this evening or tomorrow.
esnow... does the "GUARDIAN" ring a bell? |

they're supposed to be real cassettes
i'll get some pics asap, i'm not at home w/ them right now...... that pic is the one from her site.... the top only has one hole drilled for the fin and the bottom has 3 holes, middle drilled all the way through and other two just half way for the "mounts" on the fin..... |

I agree with you on that...I have one a 43 at home and it doesn't have rounded nose/tail like that one. _________________ Vive La Jeffe! - JLA is snowboarding!

I dont think Cassette was/or even is big enough of a company for someone to copy their designs and still make a profit
Anyways, who knows, this could have been a prototype of some sort, best bet would to email Thomas if ESnow doesn't know. |

warlock, To the best of my understanding she knows Thomas quite well... but she definitely knows about everything there is to know about boards and the wake industry. _________________ arson-wake.com |

i talked to her and she told me that she bought 2800 decks from millworks whatever... that cassette could make new boards w/ teh next years graphics cheaper than sanding off the old ones and repainting them... so they sold the bulk of them off and started from scratch w/ the new graphics... so i have no idea BUT it very well could be a kampus... could be a cassette too i guess |

Yeah, I'm definitely baffled at that orange cassette. The graphics and the orange are totally legit (I know that cassette series deck came in a few colors, with red and yellow being common (and based on year of release)). It also came out in an orange, but It might have been a "test" run or whatever. If you keep your eyes open, you'll see that a number of those cassettes came in a few color ways, with another example being that cassette 45. I have an early run from LF, which was the gray deck. The main 45 people would recognize would be bluish/violet type color.
Oh, and all of the ends were squared. That's why that orange one is so perplexing...wait...my ears are bleeding...shizzle....
Warlock, I'm sending you a PM.... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

you got a pm back.....
also, i noticed that in the main part of the "player" in the middle part under the area where the cassette goes in there is a small area w/ scribbly writing that says ROUND and the next word is not made to be readable... round is pretty easy to read. |

| Maybe it was an original square tip cassette, then the person who owned it rounded the tips himself to make it look like the Kampus Swing. |

warlock, I think that marking is independent of the shape becuase it says that on my square tipped series deck as well. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
