I am not sure if this was already mentioned but anyways, i love the shape of the new byerly it has good weight too, but i am wondering if anyone rides the byerly with grip, is it any better, i heard the skate is ten times better with grip than the foam any thoughts? comments from people who have ridden it please, i dont care about the other companies right now, just feedback if you have done it, thanks

My best friend bought the 05 byerly. I really like the weight and shape too, he gripped it and it rides WAY better. With foam its alright but with grip its the shiz. Definently slap some grip on that baby.

I ride a 05 byerly with grip and I love it. I just was not a big fan of the foam. There is just something about the grip that make it feel better

PIRATE, i saw a pic in one of the mags recently and it looked like the whole thing was gripped. i think it was an all white board.

no me gusta foam.

I'de say they are using Jessup grip tape, but not 100% sure bout that. An you can get Jessup from most skate stores.

ive been riding the 05 byerly lately and it is pretty kick ass. i pretty much learned how to get my 3 shuvs dialed on the board because im able to pop it like straight up. it feels alittle heavy to me at times, and i dont like the way it pops for inside out shuvit tricks...sits too high in the water for me, but its def a solid board once u can get used to it

stompin9s, it still sits too high? hyperlite really tried to make the board sit deeper by rounding the rails a bit, but apparently that didnt work out. oh well...cant say they didnt try.

i suggest that you grip your skate. i personally cant stand foam.
