|
|
All,
I have a Kampus K39 board on the way . . . it will be here tomorrow. I am really looking forway to getting it.
I got the skate bump fins on it because that is what this dealer had (I had to call a lot of places to even find a K39). I normally rid fins . . . and right now I am not sure finless is something I am into (but I need to try it).
What can I expect from these fins? These are aluminum and a little taller than some fiberglass fins . . . but they are sort of hollow or open in the middle. I think they are supposed to release on surface tricks better.
Thanks _________________ Kampus K39 with foam and Keen Sandals

I think they're more for rails (the durability of the fin)...wait for Parky to answer, I think he has them

they are tougher and looser than your normal fin, they might be a good stepping stone if your trying to work your way down to riding finless, but actually the K-39 carves pretty good finless, b/c of the parralell edge design _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

If you need another k-39 the shop by my house has at least 5 in stock for 69.00. They are 04s, but that is exactly the same thing. I actually like the looks of the 04 much more than the 05. |

It is a 2004. they have no 2005, but I do not know why.
First impressions: these skate bumps are very loose . . . which is cool, I just need to get used to riding looser - which is what I want to do. The K39 does edge very well when you put in on edge, you can really cut hard. When you are riding neutral this board is very loose. It spins very easily (too easily at first).
I was suprised at how the board flexs - at least in the living room. It has a flex to it, whereas my Tech 42 is as stiff as a rock (an about twice as think).
The K39 is flat - I did notice that the nose was very close to the water . . . and I felt like it was about to go under. I just have to get used to it.
all and all, it was my first ride of the season . . . so I was very happy. _________________ Kampus K39 with foam and Keen Sandals

the skate bumps are great rail fins... they dont do much if anything when i comes to helping with traction.... I suggest if you are a fin rider try the K with the fins and then with the metal ones and see what you like...
personally go with the regular fins |
